Independent Service
Global Support
www.alatas.com

Alatas was founded in 1988 to service owners of
ship and offshore cranes, acting as an alternative
to the OEM for supply of crane parts, service and
technical consultancy.
Crane support still serves as a core product
service line offered by Alatas and we now have
an expanded range of services including various
inspection, repair and technical management
activities. We work primarily in the marine,
offshore oil and gas, energy and heavy lift sectors.
We are committed to providing 24/7 service
support for our customers globally and our
strategically placed local service centres are on
hand to provide just that, helping to reduce costs
in the mobilisation of staff, equipment, parts and
tools.
We strive to employ the very best talent and
have built a solid base of technical experts with
countless years of experience spanning the
various services that we supply.
Key to our development is our investment
in people, with training and competency
management being fundamental to our
organisation growth, goals and objectives.
We take pride in the capability of our field service
team with a plethora of high calibre engineers,
expert surveyors and senior technical personnel
with an emphasis on “good old fashioned”
customer service. All of our staff share our
vision of providing our customers with an
optimal solution at every opportunity.

Our global service centres provide on hand
support via technical management, highly
skilled field engineers and technicians, parts
stocking and expert part sales staff wherever
and whenever our customers require. We are
proud to offer in-house hydraulic, electrical and
mechanical workshops in the majority of our
locations with an engineering excellence hub,
CRANE
MODERNISATION
SERVICES
Increasingly, crane owners find themselves with
equipment that does not satisfy their requirements
limited parts availability, outdated safety systems
or simply a lack of support from the original crane
manufacturer.
At Alatas, our aim is to keep material handling equipment operating safely,
efficiently and economically. We therefore offer our crane modernisation
services via our local service centres globally.
HOSE MANAGEMENT
SERVICES
Alatas provides proven hose management services. Our customers own assets with many pieces
of equipment, each with a multitude of flexible hose assemblies (FHA). Managing such a large
number of high risk components is a challenging task for any end user. Alatas hose management
services takes on that challenge and provides manageable solutions for owners, operators and
maintenance personnel.
Hose management starts with understanding your assets. Our initial process is to complete baseline
surveys whereby we tag and measure every flexible hose assembly on an asset and compile a hose
register. Defects and rectification requirements are also recorded during the process as well as
relevant information such as access requirements and criticality of each FHA. We then provide an
online access portal to your asset information with full functionality allowing for the running of
various types of reports on the current status of your equipment. To support our data and reporting
service, we offer full in-situ hose manufacturing and testing services via our hose teams and hose
installation containers. All of our on-site hose containers are certified according to DNV 2.71
standards and we regularly undertake major hydraulic hose change out projects on vessels, rigs,
platforms and heavy equipment.

About Our DNV Certified Offshore Hose
Container Workshop Services
The Alatas Offshore Hose Workshop is designed to include all the required
equipment to make complete hose change outs as quick and simple as
possible.
Benefits of our container workshops include the ability to cut, crimp, clean and test hoses in-situ
offshore. Alatas also has an Ultra Clean hose and tube cleaning system for cleaning out hoses
and hydraulic lines.
