Today most schools understand the benefits
of teaching creative problem solving and
encouraging imagination in their students.
But this wasn’t always the case. Were you
ever told that art wasn’t a serious subject, or
advised to take a career path which was secure
and away from the creative sector? Did you
excel in art and design or graphics and textiles,
but suppressed your creativity in favour of a
sensible job? Maybe now is the right time

creative?
Here at KLC School of Design, career
changers made up over 60% of our student
body in the September 2015 intake. We
had mature students from a huge variety of
backgrounds – including marketing, finance,
healthcare and recruitment – all of whom
had taken the bold decision to embrace their
inherent creativity, follow their passion and
retrain as a designer.
Maybe with your kids back at school or
moving onto senior education, now is the
time for you to do something positive and
life changing. Going back to the classroom
can bring up all sorts of conflicting emotions,
but at KLC we put our trainees’ needs at
the very heart of the school, with a range
of interior and garden design qualification
courses and study methods to suit everyone.
