No Tomorrow …<br />

There are a number of uncomfortable thoughts <strong>from</strong> which we flee each<br />
day, none of <strong>the</strong>m more subtle or more potent than <strong>the</strong> fear of death -- a fear,<br />
ironically, that must be focused upon before it can be cleansed; one that must be<br />
remembered before it can be forgotten.<br />
And <strong>the</strong> only truly liberating response to briefly re-cognizing this most<br />
immense of internal shadows is NOT to run back under our covers and wait for <strong>the</strong><br />
mythical someday of spring. Ra<strong>the</strong>r, it is to rise, to light a candle of Kindness, and<br />
to set forth directly into <strong>the</strong> very maw of that darkness; to bring light to those<br />
wandering in <strong>the</strong> glooms of sadness or selfishness — to bring warmth to those<br />
who have forgotten what it is to LOVE.<br />
Groundhog Day is so much more than our petty hopes for an early season<br />
of sunshine. It is <strong>the</strong> reminder that we can make life Meaning-full TODAY, and<br />
that we need not wait one instant more to do so.<br />
Essentially, Groundhog Day reminds us of <strong>the</strong> most important of all Truths:<br />
that <strong>the</strong> trick to living forever …<br />
… is acting boldly as if you know you won’t.<br />
