Updated warranty procedure
Most of you will be aware that
we have been going through a
re-structure over the last few
months. You may even have
met some of our new staff. Most
of the changes we have made
won’t impact our dealers,
however this one will.
Each of our bikes is sent out
with a service log book and a
manual. When you sell a bike it
is vital that you complete the
PDI and warranty form to be
returned to us, and fill in the first
page of the log book for the
customer. This will validate their
warranty.
Any work done on their bike
from then on can be completed
by any Herald dealer without
voiding their warranty.
The classic range come with 2
years parts and 1 year labour
for the first owner. The custom
range gets 2 years parts and
labour for the first owner.
Customers buying a used bike
need to fill in the warranty
transfer book which gives them
the parts warranty for the
remainder of the 2 years.
We will also be adding a “return
to base” clause into the log
book which will mean that the
customer becomes responsible
for getting the bike back to the
garage for any work. It also
means that the supplying
Herald dealer is, obliged to
undertake any warranty work
.
The procedure for getting parts
and claiming back labour time
is still the same.
