This year in first grade we learned a lot<br />
about letters, sounds, words and reading<br />
<strong>with</strong> ESPP for fluency. In math we<br />
learned that addition and subtraction go<br />
together like peas and carrots, peanut<br />
butter and jelly, and hot chocolate and<br />
marshm<strong>all</strong>ows. We know about place<br />
value and how to "regroup the coop!"<br />
We also practiced measuring in the<br />
garden. We used Science, Technology,<br />
Engineering and Math concepts to make<br />
bird perches (<strong>with</strong> a special visitor) and<br />
musical instruments. We worked re<strong>all</strong>y<br />
hard on making good choices and<br />
earned a pizza party for getting 100<br />
class compliments by the end of March.<br />
All in <strong>all</strong>, it was fun year in Room 22!<br />
