SAFE Boats International unveils new Multi-Mission Interceptor (<strong>MMI</strong>)<br />
at the Multi-Agency Craft Conference<br />
Baltimore, MD (June 8, 2016): SAFE Boats International (SBI), a manufacturer of high performance aluminum<br />
boats located in Bremerton, Washington unveiled a new model, the Multi-Mission Interceptor (<strong>MMI</strong>), at the<br />
Multi-Agency Craft Conference (MACC) on June 8, 2016.<br />
Designed around SAFE Boats proven, commercially available Interceptor family, the 35-foot <strong>MMI</strong> has a<br />
maximum speed of 55+ knots and is capable of high speed open-ocean transits, extreme velocity maneuvers<br />
and unmatched cornering performance in close proximity to other vessels. A unique integrated SHOX TRAXS<br />
mounting system allows the operator to rapidly configure the aft deck to accommodate a variety of missionspecific<br />
payloads.<br />
Built with the user in mind, it is an incredibly safe platform with outstanding performance, sea keeping and<br />
multi-mission capabilities. The <strong>MMI</strong> also carries the latest in innovation from SAFE Boats’ distinguished<br />
supplier partners such as Mercury, FLIR, Raymarine, SHOXS, Boatmaster, David Clark, Soft Deck, HyperSpike<br />
and Weldon.<br />

family, the SAFE 35 Interceptor is a dogfighting machine capable of<br />
high velocity maneuvers and incredible cornering performance<br />
in close proximity to other vessels as well as high speed, open<br />

Ergonomic features maximize efficiency and enhance ease of movement around the<br />
craft. An integrated SHOX TRAXS mounting system allows the operator to rapidly<br />
configure the aft deck of the SAFE 35 Interceptor to accommodate a variety of<br />
mission-specific payloads. The vessel operates at top speeds in the harshest seas<br />
and features an open T-Top built to maximize visibility in all situations. The SAFE 35<br />

RECONFIGURABLE DECK SYSTEM<br />
An integrated SHOXS TRAXS mounting system is fitted<br />
to the aft deck allowing the operator to configure the craft<br />
to meet mission requirements. The track system is fitted<br />
at uniform spacing throughout the craft and provides<br />
a secure mechanism for attaching seat bases and any<br />
specialized equipment racks or cargo which allows for<br />
rapid reconfiguration and convertibility.<br />

Raymarine<br />
An optional Raymarine navigation suite offers both the<br />

radar and GPS plotting. Raymarine multifunction displays<br />

Boatmaster’s SB33-180 custom transport system for<br />
the <strong>MMI</strong> was engineered, designed, and tested for<br />
use in extraordinary environmental and unusual terrain<br />
conditions. Rated for 18,000 GVW, this unit is air/sea<br />
transportable, highway capable and designed to transport<br />
