Sexual Assault Counseling
YWCA’s caring, professional
counselors provide confidential
individual counseling to sexual
assault survivors and their
non-offending family members.
Services are offered to survivors
of sexual abuse, sexual assault
and sexual exploitation, ages 3
and above. In providing traumainformed
services, counselors
address the dynamics of sexual
violence and the effect trauma
has on the lives of survivors and
their family members.
Sexual Assault Prevention
Education
The YWCA offers prevention
education services to schools,
youth-focused organizations,
and professionals. Prevention
education services prepare
students, teachers, parents, and
professionals to recognize and
prevent abusive behaviors. The
YWCA also instructs parents and
teachers about the dynamics
surrounding violence and
provides support if an incident of
violence occurs.
