Rolling Roots Revue
to Play in Wrentham
The Rolling Roots Revue, a
traveling troupe of artists, will
be performing on Saturday,
September 23 at 7:30 p.m. at
the Original Congregational
Church (OCC), 1 East Street,
The internationally-touring
group performs a hot mix of
old-timey blues, ragtime, and
gospel music. Last November,
troupe members Deborah
Anne Fisher and “Ragtime”
Jack Radcliffe performed at the
OCC, entertaining the audience
with a mix of music from
the Appalachian, country, blues,
vaudeville, jug band, early jazz,
and ragtime traditions, with a
dazzling array of instruments.
This time, the troupe will include
Alex Smith, and possibly
Sherman Lee Dillon and Hilary
Hawke. Combined with
an upbeat patter, the audience
can expect an energetic, soulful,
and uplifting evening of entertainment.
