After the second half collapse against Cubo, we
went intolast week’s game looking to build on the
opening game’s first half performance.
We set up defending the slope playing 4-5-1. We
were tight, organised and, after 35 minutes, were
well in the game 0-0 and looking the stronger
side after Laleham’s early pressure.
To be honest there wasn’t a shot on target from
either team in the first 35 minutes and at that
point you wouldn’t bet against a goalless first
half.
A few yellow cards from a few scuffles was the
main talking point in
the game that far but
yet again the next 10
minutes were hard to
swallow.
From an innocuous
long ball down our right
and a run though our
defence, a carbon copy
of the Cubo game, and
we were a goal down to
Lalehamfrom absolutely
nothing.
We spoke about this
before the game but it
didn’t sink in because
just like the opening
game we conceded
another two goals in five
minutes to go in at halftime
0-3 down.
It was harsh to take
because I didn’t think
we played that badly.
The second half was
all about our pride and
