Songbook

Introduction
This song book is a compilation of songs with simple guitar chords,
developed so personal evangelism groups can enjoy uplifting music.
Some of the songs in this song book were composed by participants in
the various literature evangelism programs across the United States.
Other songs are well known scripture songs, praise songs and hymns.
Choices for this song book were based on the following criteria:
1. That the songs are meaningful and relevant to our Christian lives.
2. That the music and lyrics lend themselves to being sung in a way
that pleases God, not just ourselves.
3. That the songs have quality lyrics and are reasonably easy to sing in
a group setting.
Special thanks to Candice Tuazon, Hope Obermiller, Robert Koorenny,
Taj and Wati Pacleb, Nelson Ernst and to all who contributed songs and
suggestions for this song book. Also, thank you to Heather Krick, who
edited much of this song book.
In this collection of songs you’ll find relevant, meaningful, moving songs
which touch every aspect of our Christian experience. May these all help
us to “speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs”
and to “sing and make music in our hearts to the Lord” as Ephesians
5:19 commands.
