WHO ARE WE?
Stonewall is Britain’s leading charity for lesbian, gay, bi and
trans equality, working to create a world where every single
person can be accepted without exception.
WHAT IS STONEWALL SEASON?
The Stonewall Season, in partnership with Visa, is a festival
of events hosted by Stonewall and its friends, supporters and
partners across Britain.
Running from 1 - 10 November 2016 , the Stonewall Season
will celebrate lesbian, gay, bi and trans life and culture, and
bring together our diverse community and its allies.
We will use the Season to create a moment in time and a real
movement for change, and we’d like you to be a part of it!
HOW YOU CAN MAKE A
DIFFERENCE
By holding an event in aid of Stonewall, you will be supporting
us to continue working towards acceptance without exception
for all lesbian, gay, bi and trans people.
Stonewall is a creative team with extensive fundraising
expertise. We’d love to help you develop imaginative
initiatives that fit your ethos, regardless of your audience,
event or organisation.
• We’re looking for a range of beneficiary events including
film screenings, club nights, sports matches, dining
experiences, spoken word events, private views etc. If
you’re involved in organising or running any of these,
consider putting one on for Stonewall during the Season
and we’ll help you promote it.
• If you run a regular night or event, it could be as simple
as donating a percentage of ticket sales or asking for a
donation on the door – we can provide you with supporting
materials for the night. Hopefully we’ll also help bring a
new audience to your event!
• Do you have an amazing or unique venue, special skill
or resource? Consider showing it off or opening it up to
the public and our supporters and we’ll help you with the
fundraising and engagement element.

WHY GET INVOLVED?
Your support for, and involvement in, the Stonewall Season
will enable us to continue working towards full equality for all
LGBT people. Supporting the Stonewall Season can also bring
you benefits including:
• Positive coverage for the work that you do or your event:
we will be reaching out to national, regional and sector
media to talk more about the Season and the events that
are a part of it.
• Exposure to Stonewall’s social media. We will promote all
things Stonewall Season to our 300,000 followers across
platforms including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
• Placement on our digital hub at
www.stonewallseason.org.uk, where all details about the
Season will sit until after its duration.
• Reach diverse and intersectional audiences: the Stonewall
Season is for all lesbian, gay, bi and trans people and
their allies.
YOUR SUPPORT WILL HELP
US TO:
• Tackle LGBT hate crime, in partnership with local
community groups
• Work with sports clubs to kick discrimination out of sport
and make it more LGBT inclusive
• Expand the work we do with 2,000 schools (there are
26,000 in Britain alone) to help them to tackle LGBT bullying
• Campaign to change laws to achieve full legal equality for
trans people
• Build a strong network of lesbian, gay, bi and trans activists
across Britain
