Vice-President, Officials – George McCorry<br />

George McCorry has served the <strong>AJHL</strong> as Vice-President of Officiating for over ten years.<br />
He is responsible for the assigning, supervision and training of League referees and serves<br />
as the League Disciplinarian.<br />
George McCorry spent 14 years as Chairman of the North Zone Referees Council, four<br />
years as Chairman of the Hockey Alberta Referees Council, four years as a board member<br />
for Hockey Alberta and six years as past Chairman for the Hockey Alberta Referees<br />
Council. George was also an official in the <strong>AJHL</strong> for 25 years.<br />
George McCorry was inducted into the Alberta Hockey Hall of Fame in June 2008 and has a Provincial<br />
Award named in his honour.<br />
Video Review Manager – Dean Laschowski<br />

Dean Laschowski has served as the Video Review Manager for the <strong>AJHL</strong> since the start<br />
of the 2012-2013 season. Laschowski is responsible for video review, supervision and<br />
development of game officials, and supplementary discipline.<br />
Prior to joining the Alberta Junior Hockey League, Dean Laschowski was the Officiating<br />
Manager for the Western Hockey League. Laschowski has officiated several marquis<br />
events for Hockey Alberta, the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), Western Hockey<br />
League (WHL), IIHF and Hockey Canada. Highlights of his career include the Memorial Cup, Alberta Cup,<br />
Royal Bank Cup and Men’s World Championship.<br />

Curtis Nichols joined the Alberta Junior Hockey League as Supervisor of Officials in<br />
the 2014-2015 season. Nichols has been an active on-ice official for 20 years, including<br />
14 years as an <strong>AJHL</strong> referee during which time he officiated seven League Finals and<br />
five Doyle Cups. Nichols was also selected as a referee for the 2004 RBC Cup in Grande<br />
Prairie, AB.<br />
Curtis Nichols spent four years as Chairman of the Hockey Alberta Referees’ Council,<br />
and was a National Supervisor for four years. He was also the Supervisor of Officals at seven National Championships<br />
including the 2009 World Under 17 Challenge and the 2011 Royal Bank Cup.<br />

Ken Dentzien has been an active official since 1987. Ken has supervised numerous provincial<br />
tournaments and regional championships and is part of the Provincial Supervision<br />
Committee. Before assuming the referee assigning duties for the <strong>AJHL</strong> in 2008, Ken was<br />
the North Zone assignor for linesman.<br />
Ken is a member of the North Zone Referee Executive as well as being the RIC for Sturgeon<br />
Hockey. Ken has received numerous awards for his dedication and commitment<br />
to the referee program and was the recipient of the George McCorry Award in 2012.<br />
Special Advisor – Bob Clark<br />
Bob Clark served as Chairman of the Alberta Junior Hockey League for nine years and<br />
currently aids as a Special Advisor to the <strong>AJHL</strong>.<br />
Among many impressive roles in his career, Bob was Alberta’s Ethics Commissioner,<br />
Alberta’s first Information and Privacy Commissioner, Minister of Youth, Minister of<br />
Education, and Leader of the Official Opposition.<br />
Clark was General Manager of the Olds Grizzlys for eight years (1987-95), capturing<br />
three <strong>AJHL</strong> Championships and the National Centennial Cup. Bob Clark was inducted<br />
into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame in 1974.<br />
