A week of <strong>events</strong> in and around Sidmouth<br />

and at the Norman Lockyer Observatory.<br />

The Festival has serious talks, fun <strong>events</strong> and<br />

exciting hands-on activities for all ages and<br />

abilities, which include drama and art as well<br />

Who are the <strong>events</strong> aimed at?<br />

There are a range of <strong>events</strong>, some are open to<br />

all, and others are aimed specially at adults or<br />

children. If you are unsure, please contact the<br />

<strong>Countryside</strong> team.<br />

Do I need to book a place?<br />

Booking is essential where indicated, this<br />

ensures your place is reserved and/ or we can<br />

contact you if the weather causes the event to<br />

be cancelled.<br />

Can I pay on the day?<br />

Where there is a cost for the event, your<br />

place can only be guaranteed with an<br />

advance payment.<br />

How do I pay?<br />

Payment for East Devon District Council<br />

<strong>events</strong> can be made with a credit or<br />

debit card, online or over the phone. Visit<br />

Can I leave my child with you?<br />

No, children under 16 must be accompanied<br />

by an adult (over 18).<br />

What should I wear?<br />

For all outdoor activities wear suitable<br />

clothing for the weather and wellies or sturdy<br />

boots, and bring waterproofs. Long trousers<br />

and wellies are advised for heathland <strong>events</strong>.<br />

Are dogs allowed?<br />

Dogs may be allowed under close control at<br />

some <strong>events</strong>. Please contact us in advance<br />

if you intend to bring a dog. Dogs are not<br />

allowed at Seaton Wetlands.<br />
