Contrary to popular New Age belief, to truly “become One” with our<br />
surroundings does not mean that we regularly “meditate”, or that we “choose to<br />
relax”, or that we learn to “focus <strong>the</strong> mind on <strong>the</strong> moment”, but ra<strong>the</strong>r that we<br />
have <strong>the</strong> courage to go forth and extend radical, selfless acts of Kindness &<br />
Caring to <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>rs in our midst -- especially those who seem “least deserving”<br />
of <strong>the</strong> same; both those we fear, as well as those we loa<strong>the</strong>.<br />
Amen ... Let it be so.<br />
