faces no storm in his life
Who says life is easy?
Each year, Singapore experiences about 168
days of thunderstorms. They are often
accompanied by lightning, heavy rain and gusty
winds, and can affect any parts of Singapore at
any time.
So is each of us who is bound to face storms at
some time in our lifetime. But,
“IT’S NOT WHAT HAPPENS

Head or Tail?
Pilots prefer to take off or land with headwinds,
winds that are blowing towards the aircraft.
Sounds like resistance? Not really, because a
headwind increases the lift of the aircraft when it
is taking off.
Faced with setbacks when chasing your dreams,
do you just give up or are you gritty enough to
pursue to the end? Grit is about perserverance. It
is about your ability to push through all obstacles
to reach your dream.

Singapore is a sunny island set in the sea.
But cloud cover influences the daily
sunshine hours it receives. During the
wettest months, the land receives about
five hours of sunshine per day and goes
up to about nine hours per day during the
drier periods.
When your days are clouded by
unfortunate events beyond your
control, just remember that bad
days will not last forever. Time
will heal any pain and the sun
will shine on you again.

My son was born at 1655hr on
the 15 th of April 1996. A few
hours earlier, a seven year old
boy had died after being struck
by lightning.
Sad as we are when a loved one
passes on, we must face it that
life comes and go. Just as water
that has risen and form clouds,
there is nothing we can do
except to wait for blessings
f r o m t h e s h o w e r to f a l l
HEAD UP, STAY STRONG, KEEP MOVING
