I come from a moment that was shared
By to people merged into one
Day by day I am now compared
To a seed that rises towards the sun
At first I felt so very small
So lacking and incomplete
but now I see that through it all
I change with each heartbeat
I am in the dark I can’t see much
But I can hear and feel
My mommy’s voice, her tender touch
Keeps me wrapped in love so real

I experienced laughter and I feel
What I guess joy must be
I bounce and kick to reveal
Its great effect on me

Music makes my wee heart sing
And oh how my feet pop
I kick just like a dancing queen
I never want to stop

And then there are times when sadness
stirs
And I tremble with despair
When mommy cries I cry with her
I’m glad she knows I’m there
I know in time I will outgrow
The confines of this space
I can’t wait to finally go
And see my Mommy’s face.
