ANDREW VAN LEEUWEN
EDITOR
Welcome to the first issue of GP Gazette.
It’s been a hectic last few months.
Building a magazine from the ground
up is no mean feat, particularly in
the middle of a busy season. But, in
typical Motorsport.com fashion, we
did it, and we did it brilliantly (if I
may say so myself ).
Our goal is pretty simple; we want
GP Gazette to become your brand
new source of in-depth Formula 1 race
analysis and exclusive feature content.
Between the unrivalled editorial talent
at our disposal, and our jam-packed
Motorsport.com photo database, we
have all the ingredients there to make
something special.
Which is exactly what I reckon
we’ve done.
We’ll be publishing every post-GP
Monday from now on, with a fresh issue
of GP Gazette ready to by first thing
Monday morning (European time).
And, for the rest of the 2016 season,
it’s even free; we’re offering a threeissue
trial period starting right here
with the Mexican GP edition.
So enjoy the first issue of GP
Gazette. I’m immensely proud of what
we’ve created, and sincerely hope
our enthusiasm and passion for the
project shows up on the pages.
EDITOR-AT-LARGE
While Formula 1’s 2016 title battle
remains wide open, many within
the sport are already focusing on
the great change that is coming in
the future.
New rules, new cars and new
owners are all set to transform
the sport we all love over the next
months and years.
Great change is taking place too
in how fans consume the sport – as
where once televisions, newspapers
and magazines were the only way
to get your F1 fix, now there are
a multitude of websites and social
media options.
Motorsport.com continues to
work hard to keep improving what
it brings, and in GP Gazette we hope
to add another dimension to the
coverage of each F1 race.
We hope you enjoy the free
taster for the remainder of the
season, as – like F1 – we plan bigger
and better things for 2017.
