We understand that everyone moves at different paces, at a<br />
variety of fitness levels. This is why we have graded all of our<br />
walking tours in terms of difficulty so that you can simply filter the<br />
results to suit your physical ability. We have created a traffic light<br />
system, as shown below, so that you are completely aware of what<br />
to expect from each walking holiday:<br />
EASY<br />
Our easy walking options are perfect for those with a<br />
reasonable level of fitness who enjoy a leisurely walking<br />
pace, usually involving shorter walking distances day to<br />
day. These walks are intended to get your lungs and heart<br />
working, but not long enough to develope any aches and<br />
pains associated with a more extensive walking holiday.<br />
MODERATE<br />
Our moderate walking holidays usually involve an<br />
increased amount of walking time and are suitable for<br />
those with reasonable fitness levels. You might encounter<br />
modest gains in ascent and rugged terrains, like<br />
mountainscapes. This option is not too demanding but will<br />
certainly leave you feeling fitter by the end.<br />
STRENUOUS<br />
For this option, a good level of fitness is essential. Usually<br />
the distance covered on these walks is quite large and the<br />
terrain often rugged and varied, making this type of walk<br />
definitely more of a physical challenge. However, you’ll<br />
soon forget about the tough climbs when rewarded with<br />
the beautiful and varied nature of the surroundings.
