“After the homily there may follow the ceremony of the Maundy. Twelve seats are<br />
prepared in a suitable place for the twelve men whose feet are to be washed. The servers<br />
lead the men who have been chosen to the place prepared. Then the Priest, removing his<br />
chasuble if necessary, goes to each one and, with the help of the Deacon and servers,<br />
pours water over each one’s feet and then dries them” (DWM 344).<br />
DWM propers for the Mass of the Lord’s Supper include the complete text of the<br />
Roman Canon with the proper formulas for the Communicantes, Hanc igitur and Qui<br />
pridie provided (DWM 348).<br />
After the Postcommunion, the Solemn Translation and Reservation of the Blessed<br />
Sacrament follows (DWM 353), after which the rites of Maundy Thursday may conclude<br />
with the Rite for the Stripping of the Altars and adoration before the Blessed Sacrament<br />
during the night at the Altar of Repose (DWM 354).<br />
