Ex-president’s brother in chauffeur cameo
JEB BUSH - brother of former president of the
United States George Bush - made a surprise appearance
in a TV award show seven months after
throwing in the towel in the race to become the Republican
nominee for president.
The 63 year old former governor of Florida, who refused
to endorse Donald Trump after he was “steamrollered”
out of the race to the White House, appeared
as a chauffeur in a comedy sketch featuring TV host
and comedian Jimmy Kimmel as part of the opening
video to this year’s Emmys.
The footage shows Kimmel trying to hitch a ride to
the awards show as he approaches a number of limousines
in a presidential motorcade.
The TV host walks up to one vehicle and the driver
tells him there is, “Room in the front”.
The driver is Jeb Bush wearing a chauffeur’s hat and
tells Kimmel: “I’m between jobs right now. Did you
know you can make $12 an hour working for Uber?”
Bush then asks Kimmel if he has been nominated (for
the Emmys) and said: “Wow, what’s that like?”
Kimmel tells Bush, who earlier this year dropped out of a crowded field of
Republican presidential hopefuls, that there is a lot of competition to win.
Bush then offers the comedian and TV personality a few words of advice:
“If you run a positive campaign, the voters will ultimately make the right
choice.”
Kimmel starts to talk about his psychic and Bush interrupts him, “Jimmy, that
was a joke”.
The Republican presidential nominee then kicks Kimmel out of the limousine
and rebukes him: “And shave that wig off your face, you godless Hollywood
hippie.”
