The district hospital in Reutling<strong>en</strong> relies on a cli<strong>en</strong>t <strong>en</strong>vironm<strong>en</strong>t designed,<br />

implem<strong>en</strong>ted and supported by transtec based on a virtualised desktop<br />

infrastructure (VDI) that was configured with Citrix and IGEL thin cli<strong>en</strong>ts. The<br />

c<strong>en</strong>trally managed solution in combination with Citrix NetScaler for remote<br />

access improves security and reduces the administration involved. It offers the<br />

ideal solution for mobile working and pati<strong>en</strong>t visits. The hospital utilizes the<br />

DataCore storage virtualisation has helped dataTec create a high-availability<br />

storage solution which offers maximum scalability to adapt to the company’s<br />

needs. The data backup solution is supported by “Veeam Backup & Replication”.<br />

dataTec, a specialist for measurem<strong>en</strong>t and testing equipm<strong>en</strong>t, profits from<br />

our <strong>transtec360</strong> operations support including weekly on-site inspections – an<br />

all-round, no-nons<strong>en</strong>se IT packet.<br />

KÜSTER Holding GmbH – Ehringshaus<strong>en</strong><br />

The all-round concept of this custom-made solution is what impressed KÜSTER<br />

most wh<strong>en</strong> working with transtec AG: the Oracle-certified and high-performance<br />

transtec system hardware together with our support. The solution also<br />

includes cluster hardware and HA system support provided 24x7 by transtec.<br />

The deployed solution provides the basis for the production managem<strong>en</strong>t<br />

system database which controls two production divisions in 24x7 operation<br />

for high-availability production. The database must have access to a minimum<br />

performance (max. lat<strong>en</strong>cy time 100ms) at all times as database downtimes or<br />

data loss would otherwise lead to production stops and a violation of the legal<br />

obligation to record data.<br />

Nidec Geräte- und Pump<strong>en</strong>bau GmbH – Merbelsrod<br />

transtec supports GPM with a virtualised server and storage infrastructure.<br />

Server virtualisation is based on IBM System x servers with VMware while the<br />

high-availability storage solution, based on IBM SAN Volume Controller (SVC),<br />

ext<strong>en</strong>ds over two fire zones. Backup is provided on an IBM tape library with the<br />

help of “Veeam Backup & Replication”. The desktop infrastructure was migrated<br />

with Citrix onto virtual desktops and applications. IGEL thin cli<strong>en</strong>ts are installed<br />

at the workstations. transtec workstations are also deployed for developm<strong>en</strong>t<br />

purposes. The <strong>en</strong>tire infrastructure was designed and rolled out by transtec<br />
