WHEN TO VISIT:
During October, Sedona attracts artists and
collectors, both local and from afar, with the
Sedona Arts Festival and the Sedona Plein Air
Festival, the latter of which coincides with the
Arts & Crafts Fair at the Sedona Heritage
Museum, which is brimming with local offerings
and perfect for souvenir shopping.
PACK RIGHT:
Because of its desert locale, evenings can
be chilly, oftentimes 20 to 30 degrees cooler than
daytime temperatures—even during the summer.
So, check the weather and pack layers accordingly.
BRING IT HOME:
Be sure to bring home at least one bottle of
Verde Valley wine; they’re hard to come by out of
