After getting assigned the category of PLAY, we
looked into what products or concepts Emily Pilloton
included in her book. In my mind, I knew that I wanted
to do our project on something productive. I felt that
although our category, PLAY, is often has first thoughts of
products relating to toys or games, we could do something
a bit different around the idea of fun. A few products/
concepts mentioned were the Nike + iPod Sports kits and
Tejo Remy’s Playground Fence. I loved the productivity of
the Nike sports kit and the use of the environment for the
playground fence. Bouncing off of these ideas. I did some
research to find more inspiration.
As a group we interviewed a few individuals on
their ideas for the improvement of public spaces in our
community to add an element of fun and productivity.
Although our responses were scattered, we gathered
some valuable insight on how we could make our spaces
more productive.
