Staff News
As the the Autumn term draws to an end, we say a
fond farewell to Mr. J. Wallace (Science)
who leaves us for pastures new.
We wish Mr. Wallace the very best for the future and
thank him for his service to the school, not only in
the science classes but also on the stage, as he
regularly got involved in our school productions!
Governor News
This term we welcome a new Vice Chair of Governors
to the school. Mrs. Karen Shadrach will support
the Chair of Governors Mr. Jeff Bowen.
Many thanks to school governors Mr. Mark
Griffiths and Mrs. Mary Bradley, whose terms finish
this year. We are currently advertising for two new
Parent Governors and elections will be
taking place soon.
Student Voice often invite our School Governors to
their meetings and this year has been no exception.
Mr. Nigel Richards took part in the Year 11 Mock
Interviews, two members attended our December
meeting to present the new Behaviour Policy and
Mr. Mike Cahill attended Student Voice to get a feel
of what really happens at the meetings!
“I was invited to attend the Student Voice meeting and
was very impressed to see the structured approach of
the meeting by the staff and the pupils, giving
everybody the opportunity to express their concerns
and record feedback.
This forum gives them the opportunity to feel involved
with the decision making progress during their
learning years”.
Mr. Mike Cahill
