The new dilemma: Many fishermen would like to help and change to chango nets, but they depend on the gillnets for their livelihoods.
The solution: ● ● ● ● Ban gillnet and totoaba fishing, and enforce it! Fund the fishmen to replace the old gillnets. Have a worldwide campaign to create donations to Save the Vaquita. Part of the money will go to conservation for the vaquita and part will assist fishermen to change their nets. Mass produce the chango nets and employ the fishermen to make the nets while all gillnets are being replaced.
