Opening words from our
Country Director
Assalaamu 'Alaikum: Greetings of Peace, The past few years have seen disasters
and calamities following each other like beads falling off a string. Floods,
earthquakes, famine, war and civil conflict continue to make the life of millions
across our planet increasingly difficult.
The Al-Imdaad Foundation believes that what counts in life is not the mere fact
that we have lived, but the difference we have made to the lives of others that will
determine the significance of the life we lead. Thus, both at home and abroad we
strive to respond to poverty, crises and suffering wherever and whenever. We have
been responding to devastating earthquakes in Nepal, Chile, Pakistan, and Ecuador,
and deadly flooding in Malaysia, India and Sri Lanka. We have also continued our
projects in Gaza and Syria where extended suffering requires a commitment from
charities and donors towards long term, sustainable support. As a proud British
charity, registered here in the UK we have continued our support for meaningful
programmes and initiatives nationwide, including educational programmes and
feeding the homeless daily.
None of this could be achieved without the support of our donors, governments,
foreign embassies, well-wishers, volunteers, scholars, and partner charities.
Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) has said:
“The best of mankind are the most beneficial to mankind”
Thank you for helping us benefit mankind by spreading love
and compassion on the earth
Your brother in humanity,
Hafez Abdussamad Mulla,
