theCubanrapgroupClan537.“Quientirolatiza”?(WhoThrewtheChalk)insalsa-raprhythm wasoneofhisrenowned<br />
successesamongothers,whichcapturedtheatentionofSonyMusicEuropawithwhom hesignedhisfirstcontracttoleave<br />
CubaandliveinItaly.TherehemetGloria,abeautifulRegisteredNurse,wholivedinItalyfor18years,hemaried herandthey<br />
bothlivedinthatcountryuntil2005whenClan537wasdisintegrateandJavierVoltaje,alongwithhiswife,decidestocometo<br />
theUnitedStatestheystayedinthedisquietingcityofLasVegas.ThisishisTestimonyofFaith.<br />

yfirstyearinLasVegaswasveryconfusing,Istartedtousedrugs,towalkwithwomen,and<br />
tosquandermoney,alofthesethingsalmostdirectedmetolosemywife.Thingswentvery<br />
badandIstartedbotomingoutmylife;atthattimeIpracticedSanteria,anAfro-Cubanreligion<br />
verycommoninCuba.Drivenbytheemotionalfailurethatwentby,Igottoconsumeuptothree<br />
gramsofCocainedailyandthisplungedmeintoadarkworldfrom whichIcouldnotgetout.<br />
TheinternalpainIwascaryingmademebelievethateverythingcouldendifIdiedandsuicidal<br />
thoughtstormentedmeconstantly.<br />
OnedaywhileIbathed,Ifeltlikeavoicethatspoketomeincessantly"TalktoyourfriendEmir<br />
Lopez."MygoodfriendEmirhelpedmealotinmycareerandhewasaChristian,healways<br />
spoketomeabouthowhisLordJesushadsavedhim andwasnowarestoredman.<br />
Mywife,atthattime,waspregnantwithourfirstchildChristian,thatmorningIsaidtoher,"<br />
tomorow,ourlifewilchange",andinresponse,shejusttookmyhandandplaceditinherbely<br />
andanswered"yoursonismoving".thatwasthefirstmomentIfelttheloveofGodinmylife,<br />
soIdecidedtogivemylifetoJesusasmyLordandSaviorandfrom thatmomentstartedmy<br />
transformation.<br />
“Yourlifewilchange.”
WebegantocongregateinthechristianchurchTheRestoredFamilyofLasVegasandits<br />
Pastors,theSolorzano's,helpedmealotinthefirstyearsofmylifeasachristian.Fiveyears<br />
passed inwhichtheLord prospered usalotand Ihad myownrecord companycaled<br />
MetamorphosisMusic.<br />
InIn2010,Iwaswatchingaprogram onTelemundowheretherewasapastorpreachingandhis<br />
messagewasdiferentfrom whatIknewofGoduntilthen,mywifeandIbegantolookformore<br />
informationabouthim ontheInternetandwestartedtocongregatethroughthewebpagewith<br />
theInternationalMinistryTheKingJesusanditsApostleGuilermoMaldonado(AGM).<br />
Forsometimenow,wehavebeennourishingourselveswiththeteachingsoftheAGM,whenan<br />
eventmarkedourlives:mywifewaspregnantwithmysecondchildandthedoctorcaledus<br />
urgently,onarivingattheconsultationgaveusterifyingnews,ourbabycamewithSyndrome<br />
OfDownandhadamalformationinhisheartthatwouldmakehim dieatbirth.Wewerestunned<br />
.butimmediatelywerememberapreachingoftheAGM,whereitsaid:"thefactsaysthis !<br />
Andthetruthsaysthis !,whichwilyoubelieve,thefactorthetruth?"Itwasaverydificult<br />
decisionbutweautomaticalygotupandtoldthedoctorthatwedidnotgetwhathewassaying<br />
inourheart,thedoctorshowedustheevidenceandthoughtwewerecrazy;hetoldusthatwith<br />
thisdiagnosisitwaslegaltoabortthebaby,butmywifesaid:"Youdonottouchmyson!"Then<br />
wewereaskedtosignthedocumentswherewewereresponsibleforwhathappeninthefuture.<br />
Itwas days ofstrengthening ourfaith,<br />
togetherwithourlocalpastorsCesarand<br />
Merlen Solorzano decided to declare a<br />
miracleinourlives.Wedidnotstoppraying<br />
andsaidoursonwouldbearobust,strong,<br />
andgreeneyedchild.Atbirthwesawthe<br />
gloryofGodinoursonDanielDeJesus,our<br />
babywasexactlyaswehad declared in<br />
faith!<br />
"Abandonwhatyouhaveandgofolowyour<br />
caling!"WasapartoftheAGM preaching<br />
thatweheardontheinternetoneSunday;<br />
Weimmediatelytookthatword,prayedit<br />
andinfaithwedecidedtomovetoMiamito<br />
folowthevisionofKJM.Mywife,mytwo<br />
children,ChristianandDanielDeJesus,and<br />
IarivedinMiamiinMay2011.Likeevery<br />
beginning ofa new life,we spentdays<br />
workingsohard,withouthavingahouse,we<br />
sleptinthehomeofasisterofmywife,She<br />
gaveusan"eficiency",withoutanybed,we<br />
sleptonthefloormywife,mychildrenandI,<br />
thisdiscouragedmesometimesandIeven<br />
thoughtaboutreturningbacktoLasVegas,<br />
butGodspoketomeoverandoveragain<br />
ththroughAGM ,strengtheningmemoreand<br />
more.
Mycareerasasingerbegantorise,Ireleasedthe<br />
album “ConlaVerdaddemiTiera”(WiththeTruthof<br />
myEarth)andthishelpedmetorecovereconomicaly,<br />
Ibegantomakemusicaltoursinseveralcountrieslike<br />
Mexico,Colombiaandalmostalthestatesofthe<br />
UnitedStates,mymusicwasheardonaltheradios<br />
andmymusicalmaterialwasamongthecandidates<br />
fortheLatinGrammys.OnFebruary18,2012Istarted<br />
singing alongside Pitbul,the most successful<br />
Miami-rapperintheworld,butsomethinghappened<br />
on the tourwe did in Cancun,Mexico.With a<br />
tremendoussuccess,wesangbeforemorethan15<br />
thousand people in the OlympicStadium Andres<br />
QuintanaRoo,butwhilesingingGodshowedmein<br />
sin ofthe public,the young people were mostly<br />
drugged,drunk,pervertedtotheendandmymusic<br />
andIwerethereasonfortheirmeetingonthatnight!<br />
WhenIreturnedtoMiamiIaskedfortheresignation<br />
ofthatrecordlabelandfrom thatdayon,Inever<br />
returnedtoastagesingingsecularmusic.Everyone<br />
wassurprisedbythisdecisionandtheyaskedmeto<br />
comeback,butmynegativeanswerremained.So,in<br />
2013Ireleasedmyfirstsong"OnlyaKing",which<br />
catapultedmetoChristianradiostationsaroundthe<br />
world.MyferventprayertoGodwastoalowmeto<br />
serveHim withthegiftthatHehadplacedinme,and<br />
Heansweredme.<br />
TodaymywifeandIareleadersoftheInternationalMinistryKingJesus,wearebothMentors,we<br />
haveseveralHousesofPeace,wehavetheprivilegeofservinginthemissionsnexttotheAGM<br />
andweworkinevangelicaleventsmostSaturdays,wheremanysoulsaresaved.<br />
AlthetalentandtheexperienceobtainedinthoseyearsIhavegiventoGod,Hehasentrusted<br />

thinking. Change or transform means: Metamorphosis,<br />

Center.OfcourseitwasajoyousoccasiongivenitwasthedayofmybirthonahotMiami<br />
ChristmasafternoonanditwouldalsobeoneofthefewtimesthatIwouldspendwithmyfather<br />
outsideofprisonwals.From theageof2,mytimewithmydadwouldbefiledwithclearance<br />
checkpoints,longlines,frustratingbodysearches,anda3-hourwindowoflaughter,tears,and<br />
questions.Questionsofwhywasheincarcerated?WhydidIhavetosithereinaprisonyard?Does<br />
herealyloveme?Isthisrealyworthit?However,bythetimeIcouldgaintheconfidencetoask<br />
theselingeringquestionsthewords“TIME’SUP”wouldbeyeledbyaboisterousCorections<br />
OficerthroughoutthecourtyardandIwouldberushedtotheoutsidegatesoftheprison,once<br />
againshutingmydadoutofmylifeuntilthenextvisit.Thisprocesswouldseem tohurtmoreand<br />

wouldsheandher7siblingsbesustained?… butthe<br />
opinionoftheyoungest doesnotcount,shewasthe<br />
eighth child.Theiruncles took them with dificulty<br />

Adolescence,isaverydificultseasonforeveryhumanbeinganditwasnodiferentforherinLa<br />
Ciénaga,tothepointofthinkingaboutsuicide;butGodisneverlate,inthisprocessshemetand<br />
acceptedChristintoherheart,Hewouldbecomeheronlywaytowalkonthispathofpain.<br />
Atheryoungage,sheworkedasamaidinafamilyhouse,washingandironingclothes,selingold<br />
clothesinabundlehousebyhouse,orwashingbotles,andifoneofthem wouldbreakwhile<br />
cleaning,shehadtotakeherinjuredhandfulofblood,outofthebrokenbotle,andwithoutany<br />
contemplationheremployerwouldpourbleachintothewoundtodisinfectsoshecontinueto<br />

pesosequivalentto$6,wenttoausedpurchasestoreandboughtablowerthatinsteadof<br />
givinghotairwascoldair,butthislitlethingsdidnotstopher;theparlor,dividedbyacurtain<br />

Thetruthisthatworshiphaslitletodowiththemusicyoulikeandplayoranythingofthe<br />
sort.WorshipistheresultofaheartfulofthanksgivingtoGodforalthebenefitsgranted<br />
throughthegracerevealedbytheCross.ThesacrificeofJesusonthecrossisthemosttangible<br />
evidence of the eternal love of God and our worship is the answer to it.<br />
SomerefertoworshipastheChristianmusicwelistentoorsing,butworshipisnotsomething<br />
thatispartofyouorsomethingyoudo,ratheritistheveryfoundationoflivingingratitudetothe<br />
livingGod.<br />
Totheastonishmentofmany,Iafirm youthatworship,asalifestyle,isnotevenoriginatefrom our<br />
lovetoGod.TheromanticideologytowardGodsuggeststhatworshiphastodowithourlovefor<br />
God,wheninfact,thenaturalmandoesnotpossesstheabilitytolovethelivingGod,onlya<br />
supernaturalandeternal encounterwiththelivingGod,theforgivenessthattheBloodofthe<br />
Lamb,ofersusandtheopportunityto“cleantheslateandstartanew account"withGod<br />
producestheextraordinary thanksgiving,apowergreatenoughtomanifesttheprinciplesofa<br />
genuineandpureworship.Aswebegintoworshipthiswayourworshipevolvesintoloveaswe<br />
receiveandgrowinHISloveforus.<br />
Remember,ifwecanloveHim isbecauseHEfirstlovedus;howeverbeforethemanifestationof<br />
thatlove,ourworshipmustbeginingratitude.<br />
Pureandtrueworshipisnotlimitedtoareligionoradenominationexclusively,everypersonwho<br />
receivesthegraceandforgivenessofourHeavenlyFatherisacandidatetooferworship,fulof<br />
thanksgiving,whichwil,later,growinanintimatecovenantrelationship,amutualcommitment<br />
andeternallove.

Francisco,IcariedonalongconversationwithStephanie,amanwhowaslivingasawomanin<br />
thePolkdistrictofthecity.Stephaniehadalreadypaid$2,300forbreastimplantsbuthewas<br />
savingmoneyforafulsex-changeoperation.<br />
Hishairwasbleachedblondandheworethickblueeyeshadowanddarkredlipstick.Hehad<br />

whenalifeisteeteringontheedgeofeternity.<br />

Idon'tknowifStephanieevergotasexchangeoperation.Idon'tknowifheevervisitedthe<br />

LlevábamosuntiempoyanutriéndonosdelasenseñanzasdelAGM,cuandounsucesomarcó<br />

unadecisiónmuydifícilperoautomáticamentenoslevantamosyledijimosaldoctorqueno<br />
recibíamosennuestrocorazónloqueestabadiciendo,eldoctornosmostrólaspruebasycreyó<br />
queestábamoslocos;nosdijoqueconestediagnósticoeralegalabortaralbebe,peromi<br />

del2012comencéatocarjuntoaPitbul,elrapero<br />
deMiamimásexitosoanivelmundial,peroalgo<br />
ocurióenlagiraquehicimosenCancún,México.<br />
Conunéxitotremendo,cantamosantemásde15<br />
milpersonas en elEstadio Olímpico Andrés<br />
QuintanaRoo,pero mientrascantabaDiosme<br />
enseñaba elpecado delpúblico,los jóvenes<br />
estaban en su mayoría drogados,borachos,<br />
pervertidoshastaelfinymimúsicayyoéramosel<br />
motivodesureuniónenesanoche.Alregresara<br />
Miamipedílarenunciaaesadisquerayapartirde<br />
esedía,nuncamásvolvíaunescenarioacantar<br />
músicasecular. Todosseextrañaronconesta<br />
decisiónymepedíanvolver,peromirespuesta<br />
negativasemantuvo.Así,enelaño2013lanzomi<br />
primeracanción“SolamenteunRey”,lacualme<br />

MisionesjuntoalAGM ytrabajamoseneventosevangélicoslamayoríadelossábados,donde<br />
