Welcome to the 2017 edition of <strong>Post</strong>scripts <strong>Magazine</strong>, our exclusive annual<br />

publication presenting a collection of properties at Ocean Reef offered by<br />

The season is off to a great start. In early December, we enjoyed another<br />

glorious Vintage Weekend, one of my personal favorite events of the year! For<br />

those who have yet to experience it, please put it on your bucket list. We owe a<br />

debt of gratitude to those who help make it so special.<br />

We are anticipating that this selling season will be very active. Our inventory<br />

is now at approximately 7%. Historically, when inventories at Ocean Reef get<br />

below the 5% level, pricing enhances dramatically. This will likely occur in 2017.<br />

Our <strong>Russell</strong> <strong>Post</strong> Sotheby’s International team has a tremendous sense of pride in our Ocean Reef community. In 2014, we<br />

partnered with the Ocean Reef Community Association to finance a successful lobbying effort to allow the trimming of mangroves<br />

in certain areas of the Community and Club in order to preserve views and protect and enhance property values.<br />

In 2013, we helped lead a group of supporters to fund the work of John November in terminating FEMA’s Downstairs Enclosure<br />

Inspection Program to recognize the true value of our real estate. The termination of this program now allows unincorporated<br />

Monroe County residents to keep their downstairs enclosures, no longer requiring them to pay for the removal of entire levels of<br />

their homes if they were deemed to be non-compliant.<br />

We also believe as an Ocean Reef business that it is important to support many of the charitable organizations that are integral<br />

to our community. We have been particularly supportive of The Academy, The Medical Center and The Cultural Center, in addition<br />

to ORCAT, The Art League, and Baptist Hospital.<br />

In addition, our agents at <strong>Russell</strong> <strong>Post</strong> Sotheby’s International Realty have committed their time as board members and<br />

mentors to organizations including Habitat for Humanity of the Upper Keys, Take Stock in Children, United Way of the Florida<br />
