THE DAILY ENCOURAGER
January 23
Today's Scripture
“Let the weak say, I am strong.”
Joel 3:10
CALL IT FORTH!!
". . .let the weak say, I am strong." Strong statement! It boggles the mind to say
you are strong when you're really feeling weak. But, we need to understand
that God is saying, "Don't be moved by what you feel or see. Instead, just say
what you want; and that is to be strong in everything you do."
God says in Isaiah 57:19, “I create the fruit of the lips…”
What we really believe in our heart is always expressed by what we say. Our
words reveal our faith. Don’t let your situation, determine your confession.
Let the weak say, I am strong. Let the poor say, I am rich. DON’T CONFESS
YOUR WEAKNESS, CONFESS YOUR PROMISE.
Whatever you need from the Lord, I encourage you to first of all meditate
on the promises of God’s Word. Then step out in faith and ask the Lord
for the things that you need that He has promised in His Word. Then “set
your thermostat!” Refuse to say anything that does not agree with what you
believe. Talk as though God has already answered your prayer. As much
as is possible, act as though you believe your prayer is answered. You may
be trusting God for finances, healing, changes on the job, the right man or
your marriage to work better. Faith works the same way in every area of
life. Don’t give up and don’t stop “calling those things that do not exist as
though they did” until you see the manifestation of God’s promises in your
life. Remember, “faith and patience inherits the promises”.
Don’t let your situation change your confession, because your confession
can change your situation. The basis for our faith and strength must not
be on empty words but must be based on the proven word of God. Shalom
