The new <strong>Micro</strong><strong>Dancer</strong> infrared vortex vacuum evaporating<br />
system impresses by its small extend and fits<br />
therefore in every laboratory. Due to its easy operability<br />
<strong>Micro</strong><strong>Dancer</strong> is fast and reliably ready for operation –<br />
especially designed for laboratories with high sample<br />
throughput. Here the <strong>Micro</strong><strong>Dancer</strong> shows its productive<br />
efficency – day after day – for an exceptional attractive<br />
value for money!<br />
Operation mode<br />
<strong>Micro</strong><strong>Dancer</strong> represents the new generation of vacuum<br />
evaporator. Vortexing, heating and vacuum are the keywords<br />
to a high efficient evaporation of solvents. Orbital<br />
shaking of the sample rack enlarges the surface of the<br />
sample. The patented contactless drive of the shaker<br />
plate eases loading and removing of the sample racks.<br />
It is not necessary to balance the samples. A major advantage<br />
for samples, obtained by HPLC gradient separation.<br />
A temperature sensor, placed in the vacuum chamber measures the<br />
drop in temperature of the sample and controls the infrared rod placed in the<br />
lid of the vacuum chamber.<br />
Vortexing<br />
Through orbital shaking (vortexing) of the samples the<br />
evaporating surface is substantially increased and they<br />
are kept in constant movement. The advantages over<br />
centrifugation are obvious. There is no imbalance problem<br />
if samples evaporate at different speeds. The quality<br />
and long-life cycle of the <strong>Micro</strong><strong>Dancer</strong> is not influenced. You can use completely<br />
different vials at the same time with the universal rack, as shown in<br />
the picture attached.<br />

Heating<br />
The temperature sensor in the vacuum chamber detects<br />
the temperature gradient during the evaporation<br />
process, which is caused by the latent heat under vacuum.<br />
It controls the infrared rod, which generates a<br />
constant heat distribution due to the parabolic reflectors.<br />
This avoids icing of the samples. Additionally the<br />
compartment heater can be activated to prevent condensation<br />
of the solvent at the wall of the vacuum<br />
chamber.<br />
Vacuum<br />
The diaphragm pump Vacuubrand PC3003 Vario generates optimum vacuum<br />
to operate the <strong>Micro</strong><strong>Dancer</strong>. Intelligent control based on a sensitive vapour<br />
pressure sensor avoids boiling delays by adapting the pump speed to the<br />
evaporation process.

be easily placed in the circular holes<br />

bottom of the vacuum chamber. Vortexing of samples<br />
operates without any contact to the actuator.<br />

For recovery of the evaporated solvents we recommend<br />
the coldtrap PoleStar. It is equipped with a fully<br />
inert 3.3 litre container.<br />
