City BBQ’s First Anniversary<br />
City Barbeque Hurstbourne celebrated its first<br />
anniversary on Oct. 22 with a barbeque sauce<br />
contest. Local pit bosses gathered to see who had<br />
the best barbeque sauce in the ‘ville. As their way<br />
of saying thanks for a great year,<br />
5 percent of sales that day<br />
were donated to Kosair<br />
Charities. Thank<br />

Rollin’ on the River<br />
Rollin’ on the River, a dinner<br />
cruise down the Ohio River on<br />
the Belle of Louisville was held on<br />
Sept. 1. This first time event was<br />
organized by the Kosair Shrine,<br />
and raised $1,000. Funds<br />
werre donated to Kosair<br />
Charities to be directed<br />
to the Lexington<br />
Shriner Hospital.<br />

Levi, Lilly & Luke<br />
There’s nothing better than starting your week<br />
with a visit from three Kosair Charities Kids<br />
Club members. Levi, Lilly and Luke stopped<br />
by Kosair Charities on Oct. 3 to donate new<br />
toys and stuffed animals to Kosair Kids® that<br />
they collected at their joint birthday party.<br />

Olivia Allen continued to<br />
show her commitment to<br />
Kosair Kids by baking two<br />
Sweet Potato Pies for the<br />
annual ‘Pie Auction, plus<br />
Cakes!’ Her contribution<br />
helped to raise $800.<br />

Trace, Ty & Tucker<br />
In early October, Trace, Ty and Tucker stopped<br />
by to donate the money they collected back in<br />
June at the Funeral Directors Association of<br />
Kentucky Convention to help Kosair Kids®.<br />
They walked around with child-sized fez hats<br />
and asked people for cash. Welcome to the Kids<br />
Club!<br />
Marissa<br />
Instead of requesting<br />
presents for herself on her<br />
10th birthday, Marissa<br />
asked her family and friends<br />
for donations to Kosair<br />
Charities. On Oct. 10, she<br />
visited our Eastern Parkway<br />
campus and donated $325<br />
to help kids in need. Thanks<br />
