Wedding Now Spring 2017

Marriage is not a noun, it’s a verb. It isn’t something you get, it’s something you do. As we embark on engagement season, let’s take a step back and look at why modern marriage is more important than ever. Of all the pressures, responsibilities and commitments you have in life, make your relationship a top priority. In the grand scheme of things, your marriage has the potential to be longest lasting endeavour you may pursue in your lifetime. Marriage is not only the beginning of a new life for you both as a couple, it is the beginning of a new circle of life for your family so make it your goal to create a marriage that feels like the safest place on earth. Getting married puts a protective shell around your relationship and helps keep your bond strong when you hit the inevitable bumps in the road. It gives you a sense of security that you will stay together, no matter what. So to all the couples getting married in 2017, we salute you! Marriage is the ultimate commitment - once you’re hitched, you can sit back and feel content that you have secured a lifelong, satisfying and loving relationship. While there’s no time like the present to plan your big day, one of the biggest regrets for brides is not enjoying their engaged status enough. After all, you’ll be married for the rest of your life but you’ll only be engaged for a short time. Give yourself time to fully enjoy your engagement before you dive right into the planning. Chances are, you won’t be coming up for air any time soon! Until next time... Lauragh xx LAURAGH QUINN, EDITOR, WEDDINGSnow
