which <strong>the</strong>y th<strong>at</strong> are unlearned and unstable wrest, as<br />
<strong>the</strong>y do also <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r scriptures, unto <strong>the</strong>ir own<br />
destruction.<br />
2 Peter 3:10-16<br />
Notice th<strong>at</strong> in <strong>the</strong> same context in which Peter refers to<br />
<strong>the</strong> Second Coming of Jesus, he also refers to <strong>the</strong> things<br />
Paul writes about (no doubt Paul's teaching about <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>Rapture</strong>) as being hard to understand. Evidently, Peter<br />
himself was having difficulty understanding <strong>the</strong> <strong>Rapture</strong>.<br />
In ano<strong>the</strong>r passage Jude refers to Jesus' return to earth:<br />
And Enoch also, <strong>the</strong> seventh from Adam, prophesied<br />
of <strong>the</strong>se, saying, Behold, <strong>the</strong> Lord cometh with ten<br />
thousands of his saints,<br />
To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all<br />
th<strong>at</strong> are ungodly among <strong>the</strong>m of all <strong>the</strong>ir ungodly deeds<br />
which <strong>the</strong>y have ungodly committed, and of all <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken<br />
against him.<br />
Jude 14,15<br />
Of course, this is not a reference to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Rapture</strong>, but<br />
r<strong>at</strong>her to Jesus' return in judgment upon sinners.<br />
James 5:7-9 also talks about <strong>the</strong> coming of Jesus as a<br />
judge, warning th<strong>at</strong>, Behold, <strong>the</strong> judge standeth before <strong>the</strong><br />
door.<br />
First John 3:2,3 also refers to <strong>the</strong> coming of <strong>the</strong> Lord,<br />
but could be a reference to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Rapture</strong> or to <strong>the</strong> Second<br />
Coming, or to both.<br />
But to none of <strong>the</strong>se o<strong>the</strong>r disciples was <strong>the</strong> <strong>Rapture</strong><br />
