SOLUTION
After priming, leveling began using UZIN NC 150. Because NC 150 left a cover ready surface,
no post-preparation was needed, providing the required fast turnaround time to installation and
completion. The other added benefit to B.T. Mancini was the savings of additional labor costs that
would have been needed for post-preparation in order to make the surface ready for installation.
PRODUCTS
Thermo Fisher’s Fremont, CA facility is their
350,000 square foot Niche Diagnostics Center
of Excellence. They develop and manufacture
innovative technologies for diagnostic testing
and quality controls that are used in healthcare and
other markets. Thermo Fisher designed the facility
with a focus on energy efficiency, sustainability and
community stewardship. The UZIN materials used,
which are LEED ® contributing products, also added
to the companies environmentally responsible
position.

B.T. Mancini ran into a fairly typical collapsing construction schedule. Installation windows
narrowed due to the need for other trades requirements on the project soon after the floorcoverings
were laid.
