Spring 2016 | Free Edition | More Than A Label

This issue, we decided to focus on kids who fall outside the norm. The school system often falls short for kids, and whether yours are gifted, special needs, or somewhere in the middle, the key to success is patience and flexibility.

Kids' Mini-Mag
Pages 1 3-20
Use the included ribbon to secure the pages once you
remove them from the center. The holes left by the
staples are perfect for this. To create the mini-mag, gently
pull out the middle section and lay it flat open. Thread
the ribbon through the top and bottom staple holes and
turn the whole thing over. Tie the ribbon ends together
and your mini-mag is ready to go!
toward stupefying
“standardization” –
seems bent on stifling
The Unplanned Homeschooler

Did you cut out grains to lose weight, and find that pasta
was the thing you missed most? This lasagne will leave you
so satisfied you'll never miss it again!
Zucchini is the star of this recipe,
but you'd never know it from the
taste! Slice them lengthwise to
make a noodle substitute.

Low-Carb Lasagne
When we cut our carbs out, pasta was one of the first things to go.
I love pasta. I mean, I love pasta, so I missed things like this
dreadfully. When my husband had the idea to substitute sliced
zucchini for the lasagne noodles, I was game to try it! This is the
best lasagne I've ever had, and I can't even tell there aren't any
noodles in it.
