The highest award achieved up to the<br />
present time by Don Melchor was the<br />
2012 vintage in a recent report on Chilean<br />
wines written by the American critic James<br />
Suckling. With a qualification of 98 points<br />
it got positioned among the outstanding<br />
wines in the world. Likewise, the 2013<br />
vintage received 96 points, an important<br />
score and one of the highest given to this<br />
vintage.<br />
On the other hand, on the “100 Best Wines<br />
of the Andes 2016” list of the prestigious<br />
critic, highlighting the best wines of Chile<br />
and Argentina, Don Melchor was the only<br />
Chilean wine with two vintages within this<br />
exclusive selection.<br />
Its 2012 vintage was among the best 10,<br />
occupying the sixth place in the ranking,<br />
a privileged standing which it obtained<br />
thanks to the historical 98 points while<br />
the 2013 vintage rewarded with 96 points,<br />
positioned itself at the 50th place.<br />
This way the wine developed by the winemaker<br />
Enrique Tirado has been part of<br />
this exclusive list for three years in a row<br />
thus ratifying its position as a world-class<br />
wine and one of the greatest ambassadors<br />
of Chile around the globe.<br />

THE WORLD’S BEST<br />
CARMENERE<br />
After praising the Don Melchor 2012 in May this year with a remarkable<br />
number of 94 points, Jeannie Cho Lee MW, one of the most<br />
influential and respected specialized journalists from Asia, she<br />
brings to light a Concha y Toro wine again. This time it was Carmín<br />
de Peumo 2012´s turn, catalogued with 94 points in her article<br />
written for the magazine Forbes dedicated to Chilean Carmenere<br />
wines. In this article she positioned it as the representative of this<br />
vine with highest score in Chile.<br />
Additionally, Cho Lee gave 93 points to the 2013 vintage of the<br />
Concha y Toro Carmenere icon, positioning both wines elaborated<br />
by the winemaker Ignacio Recabarren among the 10 best<br />
Carmeneres in the world.<br />

WINE<br />
Amelia 2015 was classified as “Chile’s Best White Wine” by<br />
Marcelo Copello, one of the most prominent wine journalist and<br />
opinion leaders in Brazil. In a tasting that brought together the<br />
best Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc from the country, the 2015<br />
vintage received 96 points, the highest score awarded among the<br />
wines included in the ranking, classifying this it as the Chile’s Best<br />
Chardonnay, highlighting its outstanding acidity and complexity.
