Most services are created by simply doing what others do not want to do while getting paid to do it. Every service is creaed in order to perform a service that others either do not know how to do or to make their life easier. Being a problem solver is fun and easy. Solving people’s problems creates a never ending flow of cash. The more services you want to perform and do it efficiently, then the more cash you can collect. Small business services are very much part of the fabric of America and the rest of the world. Creating products and selling those products is yet another way to earn profits. Keeping your costs lower than what you’re paid will generate profits and an income for you. Most Service type businesses can be scaled up. The business can expand by simply duplicating your efforts. Let’s say you’re a land scaper or law mowing service. The more lawns you mow the more money you can pocket. By duplicating yourself by getting others to mow lawns under your business umbrella, then this is expanding your business. Example: Your business takes the order. You ask Tom to mow the law and John mows another lawn. You mow the other law down the street. You get paid $50 per lawn mowed. You pay Tom and John $25 each for mowing the lawns. Using this example, you will earn $25 X 2 = $50 from Tom and John plu $50 from the law you owed yourself. YOU earn $100 because you duplicated your efforts. This is how many businesses are started and some business succeed beyond what was oringally expected. The coming pages are full of small businesses that can be started fairly quickly and put into action. Depending on the knowledge and skills you already have may determine the type business you wish to perform. Many service businesses do not require any further education, skills or knowledge.

If you become an employee you are selling your service. If you provide dental procedures you are selling a service. If a company sells hamburgers they are selling a product. ( I think you get the idea.) The number of lives you affect in a positive manner determines how much money ends up in your pocket. If a movie earns 200 million dollars – then the movie has affected several million lives. If a recording star sells one million CDs, then the star affects millions of lives. However, if a man becomes an employee and sells his services to Wal-Mart, then he/she only affects ONE life. Who is this? The employer. The Wal-Mart employee only effects ONE entity. (customers do not purchase the services of employees). Therefore an employee of Wal-Mart obviously earns much less than a recording star who sells a million CDs. The bottom line is; The more people your product or service affects - is directly proportionate to the amount of “money” injected into your pocket. Our focus must be to improve ourselves anyway we can in order that we may help serve others better. I believe this is why we are here.
