Songstress leads 2017 Metro FM Music Awards nominations
Afro-soul songstress Amanda Black leads this year's Metro FM Music
Awards with five award nominations. This has proven that Ambitious
Entertainment surely have that secret ingredient and that cook book
everyone is looking for, as they keep leaving the kitchen hot and
messy. The nominees for the 2017 awards were announced at a
glitzy event in Johannesburg on a Tuesday evening, attended by
some of the biggest names in SA music. Amazulu hitmaker Amanda
Black was perhaps the happiest on the night, scoring nominations in
the Best Pop, Best Female, Best RnB, Best New Artist and Song of
the Year categories.
Babes Wodumo, Nasty C and Kwesta all scored four nominations
each.
The prestigious Song of the Year category will be contested by Babes
Wodumo (Wololo), Musa & Robbie Malinga (Mthande), Kwesta (Ngud),
Amanda Black (Amazulu), Dr Malinga (Akulaleki), Durban's Finest
(Umsindo), King Monada (Ska Bhora Moreki), Nasty C (Hell Naw), Lebo Sekgobela
(Lion of Judah) and Black Motion (imali).

that he feels strongly about. This time the Super Mega took to twitter on
Wednesday morning (25 Jan “17) to address Emtee’s critics and defend a
fellow musician.
How many (USA Flag) rappers with face tattoos? People carrying on like it's
the first time they seen some shit like this.
Emtee who also never backs down from tackling the hate head-on
told TshisaLIVE that he was unfazed by the backlash.
"To be honest, I expected people to hate it and for there to be backlash.
But it's my face, I can do what I like with it. It's my money and I can spend it
on whatever I want," Emtee said.
