Cobb MX Male Management Supplement
Maintaining control of the male weight from transfer to flock completion is an essential
component of maximizing male fertility. Try to match heavier groups of males with heavier
females. Generally, the percent body weight differential target between males and females
at housing should be in the area of 21 – 26 %. This differential gradually narrows to
between 17 - 20 % at sell age. At around 30 weeks of age, when sexual activity is at the
peak, the weight difference can drop to as little as 13 - 14 %. This differential gives more
leeway to manage the BW growth of the males for good fertility persistency. See Percent
