For those of you who are new to<br />
<strong>First10</strong>, simply put, <strong>First10</strong> serves<br />
as the conduit between secondary<br />
schools and Australia’s leading<br />
organisations from a careers<br />
perspective. We do this via this<br />
publication, <strong>First10</strong>.com.au, our<br />
leading eNewsletter service, ongoing<br />
schools communication, boutique<br />
events, video production, and more.<br />
We are glad to say that we have grown to be<br />
Australia’s leading schools engagement program.<br />
The <strong>2016</strong>/<strong>17</strong> edition marks further and<br />
considerable development of the publication.<br />
This year there are 20 categories and seven<br />
sections including 5 diversity initiatives.<br />
In addition to the Indigenous, Disability, Women<br />
and LGBTI diversity sections, a new Cultural<br />
section has been included to further enhance<br />
careers communication.<br />
The website is constantly updated, so it is<br />
worthwhile checking in to see who and what has<br />
changed. You can also download a full PDF of<br />

Cultural Diversity comprises of people from all<br />
manner of cultural, ethnic, religious and national<br />
backgrounds and identities. Cultural Diversity<br />
in Australia is something which continues to<br />
grow rapidly, and it is becoming more and more<br />
important to communicate with young people<br />
from different backgrounds. 94% of schools<br />
supported the development of Cultural Diversity<br />
as part of the <strong>First10</strong> Program.<br />
The information in this publication is accurate<br />
and targeted. The editorial and <strong>First10</strong> points<br />
have been written by the organisations, and<br />
not a third party. In other words, you can be<br />
confident that the information delivered in the<br />
<strong>First10</strong> program is accurate and a true reflection<br />
of what the profiled organisations want you, your<br />
students and their parents to know about who<br />
they are and the future opportunities available.<br />

information. As well as mirroring the content<br />

<strong>First10</strong> is fully funded by the member<br />
organisations and is a totally independent<br />
initiative with no funding from government<br />
lobby groups or a particular market sector.<br />
