Traka is attending The Health
& Safety Event to
demonstrate how its
intelligent key and asset
management solutions can ensure
full control and accountability for
the successful running of a safe
and efficient workplace.
On stand D64, the industry leader in
intelligent key cabinets and lockers
systems will showcase how its state-ofthe-art
solutions can provide full audit
trail capability, to ensure complete
compliance to latest health and safety
standards.
Visitors will be able to see live displays
of how Traka systems can assist from
pre-operational safety checks such as
fault reporting and integrated alcohol
testing; machine start controlled
access, to fork truck and fleet
management, using latest intelligent
key management.

Advanced’s AlarmCalm false
alarm management (FAM)
system has been nominated
for the Tomorrow’s FM Awards
2017.

Alarmcalm False Alarm Management System
Nominated for Tomorrow’s FM Award
It allows a site to be divided into FAM
zones called building areas (up to 200
per panel or 40,000 per network). These
are virtual areas used for FAM
programming that by default match fire
zones but can be set independently to
cover multiple zones and points or
individual points. The use of building
areas makes even complicated causeand-effect
easy to set up.
There is growing awareness of the role
that trained staff or residents can play in

helping to reduce false alarms.
Advanced’s intelligent, loop-powered
alarm acknowledgement device, the
AlarmCalm Button, can be used to
manually verify if an alarm signal is false,
for example from smoke as a result of
cooking or vapour from a shower. It
includes robust fail-safes and is being
installed and specified widely.
