Size
Shape
color
type

Groping scattered- more
or less evenly spread
out, or in clusters- small
groups
Pus is the liquid
formed as a result of
infection. If a lesion is
pustule, it is filled
with pus

Mechanical
Injures to the skin are
divided into those
caused by a blunt force
by a sharp force
Injuries from blunt forces
Abrasion: is superficial
Contusion: injury that occurs
when blood vessels in the skin
are damage
Laceration: it is a wound
involving both the dermis and
epidermis

Incised wound: it is a break in
the skin where the length of
the wound on the surface is
greater that the depth of the
wound
Sore
It is a skin lesion especially
infected lesion.
Pressure sore is a skin ulcer
caused by pressure
A cold sore is a lesion
caused by herpes simplex
