We are grateful to the foundations and organizations whose
confidence in the mission of our congregation and schools
is demonstrated by their decision to fund programming
initiatives, often beyond the scope of our budget.
Funding from THE ASSOCIATED:
Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore
We acknowledge with gratitude the generous contribution
of over $148,000 from THE ASSOCIATED. Allocations
from the Synagogue Council, the Joint Commission on
the Quality of Instruction in Jewish Schools (administered
by the Center for Jewish Education), and the Day School
Council support students enrolled in Krieger Schechter
Day School and Rosenbloom Religious School, and
provide professional development opportunities for all
of our faculty members. In addition, through a special
partnership between THE ASSOCIATED and The Harry
and Jeannette Weinberg Foundation, KSDS received
an additional $275,000 for scholarship assistance in the
school.

The Crane Foundation provided professional development
stipends for eligible educators in all of our schools; our
professionals also benefited from Crane Foundation
subsidies to assist educators in paying for medical
insurance; KSDS received a grant of over $50,000, based
on a per capita formula, as part of an effort to assist with
day school funding in the greater Baltimore area.
For the second year in a row, The Rosenbloom Religious
School received a $22,000 grant for The Teen Team
project from The Jacob & Hilda Blaustein Fund for the
Enrichment of Jewish Education. Created by nationally
known Jewish musician Rick Recht, this program will train
teens how to become Jewish song leaders over the course of
the year. The teens will then take these invaluable skills and
go into classrooms, services, and other programs at Chizuk
Amuno to help elevate the ruah – spirit – and connections
to our tradition.
The Goldsmith Foundation granted $10,000 to the
Goldsmith Early Childhood Education Center to support
the creation of a school counselor position. This individual
provided professional development and parent workshops,
social skills training in the classrooms, and observations in
classrooms.
