Shaping agriculture in Africa
by developing people.

WE GROW AGRICULTURAL COMMUNITIES
IN AFRICA BY DEVELOPING PEOPLE AND
THEIR RESOURCES FOR POSITIVE CHANGE
WHAT WE DO
Agri-IQ specializes in economic and social development, by providing services to small
scale farmers and commercial farming organizations.
We do this by implementing successful, effective projects that combine sustainable farming
practices with business expertise.
Successful farming projects are needed to improve food security, on the African Continent.

Services
SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
Agri-IQ believes that by empowering small scale farmers we are providing a platform for their sustainable
development in agriculture.
To achieve this we have developed a broad spectrum of modulated programmes and short courses for training
the farmers. Our training material is designed around real world situations that farmers and farming employees
experience and ensures that the learning is relevant and immediately useful.
Our training techniques and activity tools are interactive and allow an element of fun whilst learning takes place.
We apply innovative techniques to test knowledge uptake as part of the monitoring and evaluation process.
“Agri-IQ helps us to
understand that working
together gives us strength
and the opportunity for
doing good agricultural
business”
GOVERNANCE TRAINING TO BUILD CAPACITY FOR SMALL GROWER CO-OPERATIVES AND ASSOCIATIONS
Small scale growers are finding that their biggest challenge is in managing the governance aspect of their
business institutions.
Agri-IQ has developed a cutting edge up-skilling programme that is used to strengthen governance knowledge
in small grower farming institutions. The Programme uses unique and interactive training activities to transfer
skills and knowledge. The training includes corporate compliance, leadership responsibilities, the membership
responsibilities and ethical decision making.
Through ongoing facilitation the Programme enables the institutions to operationalise their constitutions and
run their business effectively.
Monitoring and evaluation of the capacity building is the cornerstone of the Programme and allows the
institutions to become empowered to manage and drive their business.
FARM MANAGEMENT AND CONSULTING SERVICES
With our extensive agricultural knowledge and technical farming experience, Agri-IQ provides farm management
and consulting services for a wide range of farming projects in Africa. These projects include commercial farming
enterprises and small scale grower institutions.
We have the necessary business expertise, technical and operational experience to offer sound farm management
guidance and consulting assistance. This ensures that farmers operate successfully and remain sustainable within
the agricultural environment.

PRODUCTION COMPLIANCE AND MARKET LINKAGE
Agri-IQ understands market demands, the logistic trade chain and is proficient in the product
requirements for local and export retailers. We guide farmers on being market led and not
production driven which results in best value return to the farmer or small-scale farming institution.
In order for a farming enterprise to gain entry to high value export markets, certain international compliance
standards are required.
We are able to provide training on applicable standards and the provision of the required documentation.
This includes the implementation or risk assessments, policies, procedures, standards and record forms.
Coupled with training, this will assure audit compliance to the following International Standards: GLOBALG.A.P,
Tesco Nurture, Ethical Trade - SIZA and Fairtrade.
