stunning Requiem. Dedicated to the
memory of his father, Duruflé completed
the work in 1947. It stands as one of the
most beautiful Requiem settings ever
composed. The concert will begin 19.30
his experience in the worlds of vocal and
instrumental music gained during his time
as Organ Scholar at Trinity College,
Cambridge.
There will also be a fantastic preconcert
recital, which is part of the LCS'
the riches of the choral and orchestral
repertoire with its chamber-sized forces,
through stimulating and thoughtprovoking
programmes.
The ensemble is made up of
outstanding professional musicians,
delivering the highest levels of classical
music making. From the Renassiance to
lesser-known pieces and showcasing new
compositions.
