1 0 Messages Setting message options On the All messages screen, press MENU and then tap Settings. You’ll find several groups of settings. Received messages Received notification Receive a notification in the status bar when a new message arrives. Play notification sound Set your phone to play a sound when a new message arrives. Notification sound Choose a sound that will play when you receive a message. Vibrate Set your phone to vibrate when a new message arrives. Sent messages Sent notification Receive a notification in the status bar when a message is sent successfully. Failure notification Receive a notification in the status bar when a message is not sent successfully. Play notification sound Set your phone to play a sound when a sent or failure notification is received. Notification sound Choose a sound that will play when there’s a sent or failure notification. Vibrate Set your phone to vibrate when a new message arrives.

You can also select None to disable this option. Delete old messages Automatically delete older messages, except for locked messages, when the set limits are reached. Text message limit Choose the maximum number of text messages to store in each conversation thread (this does not include locked messages). Multimedia message limit Recipient list settings Choose the maximum number of MMS messages to store in each conversation thread (this does not include locked messages). Show email address Search and display the email addresses of stored contacts when you’re adding message recipients. SMS settings Delivery reports Receive a report on the delivery status of your message. Priority setting Set the message priority of SMS messages sent. Send callback number Divert return calls to another phone number.
