Choose a film that represents interactions between at least two distinct cultures. The film must be<br />
approved by the instructor.<br />
1. 1. As you watch the film, take notes on the nonverbal cues that the characters in the film exhibit.<br />
Be as descriptive as possible when describing the nonverbal codes you witness throughout the<br />
film.<br />
2. 2. Explain how the nonverbal cues you witnessed in the film compare to the types of nonverbal<br />
communication codes used by the culture you have chosen to examine this semester, cite one to<br />
two scholarly sources to support your insights.<br />
3. 3. Describe a faux pas that you witnessed in the film. To spot a faux pas, look for nonverbal or<br />
verbal communication that is not received well by members of the native culture.<br />
The total assignment should be 500-750 words.<br />
