TYPICAL PLACES OF NORMANDY<br />

101st HQ This hotel-restaurant is located in the picturesque village<br />

of Sainte-Marie-Du-Mont, only five minutes from Utah Beach, famous<br />

and notorious for the D-Day landing in Normandy, near Sainte-Mère-<br />

Eglise in La Manche. Each day a delicious ‘menu du marché’ is served,<br />

or would you rather prefer fresh oysters from Utah Beach?<br />

82 nd HQ, which was a 9th century Viking fortress, is now the stunning<br />

place and its enchanting 17th century Manoir, located in the heart of<br />

the Normand countryside, close to the famous Sainte-Mère-Eglise and<br />

the D-Day beaches, an excellent base from which to explore the<br />

historical sites of the region.<br />

29th HQ is 16th century, it offers spacious, welcoming rooms where the<br />

turret has been converted into a bedroom or a superb retro bathroom. A<br />

stone's throw from the Pointe du Hoc, one of the D-Day landing sites,<br />

the owners are always keen to talk about their region with their guests.<br />

Big Red One HQ, it is one of the oldest farms in the region, the<br />

property was built between the end of 16 th century and the beginning<br />

of 17 th century. The building of the farm ended in the 18 th century.<br />

You will have a pleasant and relaxing stay with the “jaccuzi” and<br />

the garden or you will visit at 5mn Grandcamp-Maisy and its fishmarket,<br />

Pointe du Hoc and D-Day Landing Beaches, Omaha and Utah. Very<br />

close to famous historical site‘La Pointe du Hoc”, and on the way<br />

to US Cemetery of Colleville.
