of Sainte-Marie-Du-Mont, only five minutes from Utah Beach, famous
and notorious for the D-Day landing in Normandy, near Sainte-Mère-
Eglise in La Manche. Each day a delicious ‘menu du marché’ is served,
or would you rather prefer fresh oysters from Utah Beach?
82 nd HQ, which was a 9th century Viking fortress, is now the stunning
place and its enchanting 17th century Manoir, located in the heart of
the Normand countryside, close to the famous Sainte-Mère-Eglise and
the D-Day beaches, an excellent base from which to explore the
historical sites of the region.
29th HQ is 16th century, it offers spacious, welcoming rooms where the
turret has been converted into a bedroom or a superb retro bathroom. A
stone's throw from the Pointe du Hoc, one of the D-Day landing sites,
the owners are always keen to talk about their region with their guests.
Big Red One HQ, it is one of the oldest farms in the region, the
property was built between the end of 16 th century and the beginning
of 17 th century. The building of the farm ended in the 18 th century.
You will have a pleasant and relaxing stay with the “jaccuzi” and
the garden or you will visit at 5mn Grandcamp-Maisy and its fishmarket,
Pointe du Hoc and D-Day Landing Beaches, Omaha and Utah. Very
close to famous historical site‘La Pointe du Hoc”, and on the way
to US Cemetery of Colleville.
