The history of Cortefiel dates back to 1880, when the Garcia Quiros brothers inherited a haberdashery store in<br />
Madrid. In 1945 the company underwent a complete change of direction, focusing on the world of tailoring<br />
and positioning itself as a leading textile brand renowned for its pioneering inventions.<br />
Since then the brand has enjoyed constant growth, securing a consolidated position at the forefront of the<br />
women’s fashion market thanks to the choice and variety of its offer as well as the design and quality of its<br />
products.<br />
In 1989 the prestigious Spanish fashion company Pedro del Hierro, which boasts a long-standing tradition in the<br />
field of Spanish haute couture joined Cortefiel under an exclusive agreement.<br />
During the 1990s, Cortefiel embarked on ambitious international expansion strategy that has led them be<br />
present in more than 40 countries.<br />
