In today’s culture of modern communications and new challenges in society,<br />
our central mission is to communicate Christ, in the media languages familiar<br />
to the masses but first and foremost, through the witness of our lives,<br />
consecrated to God and dedicated to the Gospel.<br />
Our community in<br />
Singapore was established<br />
in 1994 as part of the<br />
missionary project on the birth<br />
centenary of our co-Foundress<br />
Venerable Thecla Merlo. Over<br />
the past two decades, we have<br />
written and produced books,<br />
videos, and CDs.<br />
We run a small Media Centre<br />
at Church of the Risen Christ<br />
(Toa Payoh) and on a regular<br />
basis, conduct media outreaches<br />
in parishes and schools. Part<br />
of our ministry also includes<br />
Media Spirituality and Literacy<br />
formation for youth and adults.<br />
Over the Advent-Christmas<br />
seasons, we carry out our<br />
apostolate in Jurong Point Mall<br />
in an effort to bring Christ<br />
to the marketplace with a<br />
selection of Bibles, spiritual<br />
books and media items. We<br />
have also participated in the<br />
Cana Film Festival, as a way<br />
of sharing the Church’s social<br />
teachings through film.<br />
